Vistry exchanges contracts on 446-home Surrey site

Vistry has unconditionally exchanged contracts to purchase a residential development site in Hookwood, Surrey, with planning permission for up to 446 homes.

The development will also include a new community facility of up to 1,500 sq. m and significant areas of open space. Of these homes, 45% will be designated as affordable housing.

Subject to reserved matters planning permission, Vistry anticipates a start on site later in 2026, with the first homes available in early summer 2027.

The site is owned by five principal landowners, represented by land agent Philip Stone and B.Yond Homes Limited, who promoted the scheme through planning.

The land was marketed by Bob Hilder from Landpro Consultants/Land and Brand New Homes.

“Hookwood is a fantastic opportunity to deliver much-needed, sustainable new homes in a highly accessible location close to Gatwick,” said Alex Jordan, managing director at Vistry South East.

“We are delighted to have reached this important milestone and look forward to working with our partners and the local community to create a thriving new neighbourhood, with high-quality homes, significant affordable housing, and a new community facility at its heart.”
